Tracking Google Play rankings through an API

Charts for a market, positions for an app, and moves between snapshots: the three calls a rank tracker needs.

1. A chart

GET /api/v1/charts?country=DE&category=GAME_PUZZLE&collection=free

Up to 200 positions with title, developer, installs, rating and the move since the previous snapshot (change: up, down or new).

2. All positions of one app

GET /api/v1/rankings?id=com.king.candycrushsaga

Every country, category and collection where the app is charted. Add country or collection to narrow it.

3. Context

/markets tells you how hard each chart is to enter, and /availability where the app is offered at all, which explains many "missing" countries.

Costs

A chart page costs 2 credits, a rankings lookup 1. Tracking 50 apps daily across all countries is 1,500 credits a month, just above the free plan.
